THE MASTER

The word marketing has many nuances and the expectations of the work world are complex. Joining the marketing office of a company working in the automotive sector is never easy for someone fresh out of university, and no internship can cover all the complex workings of the profession today. All sectors are seeking new workforces that are familiar with their work environment but cannot afford to train them for long periods inhouse.

The automotive world, in particular, needs young people who know what to expect and are familiar not just with the theory but also the world they will be dealing with. There is a need for people with good knowledge of the automobile world who are ready to respond to the needs of the workplace.

They require young people trained to speak in public, write a press release, work on a car-launch campaign, interact with the Internet, conduct a radio/video interview and cope with the pitfalls of a crucial market – and who also have a first-rate grasp of new technologies and social media.

The Master Diploma Course in Automotive Marketing provides a high-level specialisation that gives students valuable training and forges a new class of expert operators immediately ready to join the work world.

A post-graduate Master Diploma Course for graduates in Business and Economics, Marketing or an equivalent. It provides comprehensive training for entry to the work world as marketing operatives for the automobile sector. The course is for young graduates eager to join the automobile world and work specifically in marketing, also with a multimedia focus. Some of those selected will receive bursaries to cover the cost of attending.
The selection process is based on the following:

Results of previous studies: the marks obtained in the degrees listed in the application are taken into account.
CV: the selection process comprises an overall assessment of the candidate’s professional profile, as stated in the CV and cover letter.
Knowledge of English: the English knowledge level is based on the certificates declared in the application. In addition, candidates will undergo an oral test during the admission test to ascertain their knowledge level.
• Good knowledge and use of Word, Excel and Power Point.
Admission test: the interview is an individual one, held in Italian and focuses on several assessment areas. Telephone and Skype guidance interviews with AED educational coordinators are also possible.
The course is held three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) with an average commitment of seven hours per day, for a total of 24 days. The approximately 150 teaching hours in the classroom and on the track run from 7 May to 27 June 2019.
A teaching staff of excellence will comprise Quattroruote journalists and those working at the highest levels in press/marketing offices in the automotive sector, assisted by leading exponents in the industry with top-level experience. Frequent input by national and international professionals from the motoring world is also envisaged.
Classroom lessons with first-class experts offer a chance to engage with the industry’s top professionals from the marketing management of leading automobile companies and the network of Quattroruote journalists. Practical lessons on the track supervised by Quattroruote test drivers allow students to discover the secrets and experience all the features of the automobile first-hand. There will also be workshops on the digital world, social media and digital marketing. Completing the lessons will be numerous high-profile interventions supplementing the course with experiences, international and non-, to increase the students’ cultural knowledge. Regular tests and exercises will verify the acquired skills.
All the Master diploma students will receive private credentials to access their own area; this allows them to use all the teaching material (not to be circulated in any way or via any media as per signed undertaking) made available during the lessons. The selected candidates will also receive a one-year’s digital subscription to the Quattroruote magazine.

Students can use their own electronic media and the company’s Internet connection in the classroom.
At the end of the course, every student who has attended at least 80% of the lessons and passed the regular tests will receive a Master Diploma.
At the end of the course, each student’s CV will be sent to the HR departments of all the automobile companies in Italy for potential Communications internships.
