THE MASTER

Nothing is changing as fast as the way we communicate with all the media, making the Communications sector increasingly complex and multi-structured.

Introducing new people into a fast evolving and busy department can take time and complicate its daily running. Companies require new employees who are “up-to-speed”; young graduates familiar with the automobile world who can respond to any situation that may arise in the workplace – and with excellent training in new technologies and social media.

AED with Quattroruote, leader magazine in the motoring world, have, for four years now, been organising Master diploma courses of the highest standard that meet this need for highly trained professionals, experts in their areas and able to confidently navigate the labyrinth of company operations. They are taught to speak in public, write press releases, intervene on the Internet or conduct a radio/video interview and engage with bloggers, today’s opinion makers.

This highly specialised process, unique in Italy, can train a new class of "ready-to-go" professionals to the highest level. They can “hit the ground running”, do not require long induction periods and are guaranteed to have all-round training that is impossible to find on the market without looking to people with years of professional experience behind them.

A post-graduate Master diploma course for those with a bachelor’s or specialist degree that guarantees comprehensive training for entry to the work world as Communications officers in the automobile sector. This course is for graduates keen to join the automobile world and work specifically in Automotive Communications, with multimedia skills and knowledge that is otherwise impossible to gain.
The selection process is based on the following:

Results of previous studies: the marks obtained in the degrees listed in the application are taken into account.
CV: the selection process comprises an overall assessment of the candidate’s professional profile, as stated in the CV and cover letter.
Self-presentation video: optional but recommended.
Knowledge of English: the English knowledge level is based on the certificates declared in the application. In addition, candidates will undergo an oral test during the admission test to ascertain their knowledge level.
• Good knowledge and use of Word, Excel and Power Point.
Admission test: the interview is an individual one, held in Italian and focuses on several assessment areas. Telephone and Skype guidance interviews with Quattroruote Academy educational coordinators are also possible.
The course is held three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) with an average commitment of seven hours per day, for a total of 24 days. The approximately 150 teaching hours in the classroom and on the track run from 8 May to 28 June 2018.
A teaching staff of excellence will comprise Quattroruote journalists and those working at the highest levels in press/marketing offices in the automotive sector, assisted by leading exponents in the industry with top-level experience. Frequent input by national and international professionals from the motoring world is also envisaged.
Classroom lessons with first-class experts offer a chance to engage with the industry’s top professionals from the marketing management of leading automobile companies and the network of Quattroruote journalists. Practical lessons on the track supervised by Quattroruote test drivers allow students to discover the secrets and experience all the features of the automobile first-hand. There will also be workshops on the digital world, social media and digital marketing. Completing the lessons will be numerous high-profile interventions supplementing the course with experiences, international and non-, to increase the students’ cultural knowledge. Regular tests and exercises will verify the acquired skills.
All the Master diploma students will receive private credentials to access their own area; this allows them to use all the teaching material (not to be circulated in any way or via any media as per signed undertaking) made available during the lessons. The selected candidates will also receive a one-year’s digital subscription to the Quattroruote magazine.

Students can use their own electronic media and the company’s Internet connection in the classroom.
At the end of the course, every student who has attended at least 80% of the lessons and passed the regular tests will receive a Master Diploma.
At the end of the course, each student’s CV will be sent to the HR departments of all the automobile companies in Italy for potential Communications internships.
